Ah. Sandwiches.
A staple in the American diet.
They can be delicious in so many ways with so many combinations.
They are easy to make and are great for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Add a nice side of chips or soup and you have a one-two punch that has you begging for more.
If you couldn’t tell, I love sandwiches. They are hands-down one of my favorite foods and it’s a staple in my weekly meal plans. They are just so good!
Growing up in New York City, the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was my bread and butter. I’d get it at least a few times a week on my way to school and it would make my day every time.
You can say that this is when my obsession started!
Then came the days when I would experiment with making sandwiches in my own kitchen. I’ve found that the simple combination of mayonnaise, honey mustard, lettuce, a few slices of deli meat (have your choice of turkey, chicken, ham), and Tuscan white bread makes a sandwich that always sends me to heaven. The combination of flavors is perfection!
I also have to say, the Tuscan white bread is clutch. A game-changer. If you’ve never heard of this before, go get it.
