Ah, insomnia. The problem that everyone struggles with.

We live in a world where too many people are getting less than five hours of sleep or suffering from poor sleep quality.

So many nights I set my alarms to make sure I get seven to seven-and-half hours of sleep but I still end up feeling like shit when I wake up and not as energized as I could be throughout the day.

Rarely, like once in a blue moon, I strike gold. I sleep so well throughout the night and wake up feeling like a million bucks.

But this almost never happens.

So why does it seem so hard to get good sleep?

Much of it does have to do with your daily habits.

Like using your phone before bed, irregular sleep patterns, poor sleep hygiene, or stress and anxiety.

Poor Sleep Hygiene

Having poor sleep hygiene means you have behaviors that make lower the quality of your sleep.

Certain habits, such as consuming caffeine or heavy meals close to bedtime, can negatively impact sleep.

Caffeine is a stimulant that can interfere with the ability to fall asleep and stay asleep.
